you guys know I love an excuse to *gather* but even more so when it’s just the girls - ideally while doing a craft I forced every one to participate in. but especially these days when my whole friend group consists of long term relationships, plans tend to include everyone and it’s like…do you mind? when will we ever get a chance to talk shit about you guys (I don’t even have to worry about saying that because I can guarantee none of them have opened a single one of these emails they signed up for to show support)
this year I am hosting my galentine’s with the theme of afternoon tea. if you’ve been following along my semi-manic “teacup of the day” series on IG stories you would see I’ve been collecting eBay vintage tea cups all month! this idea sort of started because one of my friends is obsessed with Tea & Sympthany in nyc. after like 5 times of begging me to come with her, I finally gave in. spoiler alert: I was so underwhelmed. like I loved the vibes, the idea, the tea. but the food!!!!!! was lacking!!! she told me she didn’t give a shit about my rating but agreed the food isn’t anything special. so then we turned it into a business meeting of our future afternoon tea joint. and pretty much my galentine’s this week is a preview of our ideas for an imaginary business that will not come to fruition unless someone reading this want’s to become an investor and do everything to start it and I’ll just make the tea sandwiches.
anyway, full recap will come to you next week! this year I’ve been so excited about this galentine’s series because I get to make all these fun recipes that I can’t necessarily use for my own party given the very niche vibe. but you totally should!!!! so here’s what we’re working with:
