my hamptons birthday menu
graham strawberry ice cream cake, oysters con tomate + lobster rolls
hello my lovelies + happy birthday to all the cancers of the season (even though I myself am a gemini, I lay just on the cusp so I am coming to you post-gemini season unfortunately)
as you all know, I am not shy of my birthday. in fact, I’m quite the opposite. I was actually born with the birthday princess gene.

I make my friends take off work and come stay in a house with me upstate for 4 days while I feed them endless food + beverages. this has been going on for 4 years now and hopefully, it’ll go on for another 40+. otherwise, my friends are dead to me. kidding omg! but we’ve been friends going on 12 years now (we all met in high school so I guess that’s how I find myself turning 27 this year…….) so I think there’s a good chance we’re locked in 4 life. I’ll keep you guys updated though.
this year, the home I usually book upstate was booked 6 months out….never sharing anything sacred on the internet again sorry. and because nothing else came close to it upstate, I found myself venturing into the Hamptons. now, let me preface this by saying this rental was far beyond my means lol. matter of fact all of the Hamptons is. $8 scallions & $17 watermelons was not something my body was prepared for. but given my birthday is a national holiday, I accepted the surge pricing for the plot.
this is the link for the airbnb we stayed in. super well located + so beautiful, jaw dropping, gorgeous!

I ordered the lobster meat + scallops + oysters from Island Creek, which I do every year now. the scallops are always UNREAL, so buttery. and their oysters are some of my favorites. i’ve never ordered their lobster meat before but of course it also rocked. amazing, so fresh, everyone rated it a top lobster roll they’ve ever had.
for the crab boil, I ordered all the seafood - clams, scallops, colossal shrimp + cooked king crab legs from Fulton Fish Market. this was my first time ordering with them after hearing great things I was not disappointed !! super fresh as well, wild seafood, perfect for a crab boil and would def reorder next time!
