it’s rare I leave a vacation and don’t feel a little bit ready to go home, be amongst my things + just settle back into normalcy. but this last trip to menorca + mallorca just hit diiiiiferent - leaving our last day I felt immediate withdrawals (not the vacation withdrawals, am I well) I could’ve stayed another week and that’s far too many days without my natural habitat.

but honestly, it was just the perfect trip full of good food, peacefulness, beauty, saltwater and alllllll the fresh seafood. I felt like there were endless beaches to discover, restaurants to eat at and little town markets to explore. one thing about me is I’m gonna explore a market top to bottom even if it drives my friends crazy (sorry guys, but we did love everything we bought amirite!!)

I heard alot about mallorca - parking, neighborhoods to stay/not stay in, beach accessibility, instagram vs reality moments, what palma is like etc etc. and it definitely made me a bit nervous for the trip but as always, I’ll be your guinea pig and give you all the lowdown on where we stayed, what we ate, what was worth it (and not) parking tips and all thatttt

we spent 4 nights in menorca just alex and I and then 4 nights in mallorca with 2 of our friends. to get to menorca you can either fly from palma de mallorca airport or take a ferry from alcudia terminal (north of the island, about an hour drive from the airport) we ultimately decided to pick up our rental car at the airport and take it on the ferry since we would be using it for the second leg of the trip as well.

okay general things to know:

  • so many people said to stay in soller etc but I actually thought pollenca where we stayed was a GEM! our airbnb was amazing, linked here. it was walking distance into town (which is so cute mind you, with 2 specialty coffee spots) and right near the ferry if going to menorca.

    • if you are planning to stay in soller and have a car, and the place you are staying at doesn’t have designated parking I can’t imagine how tricky parking would be - there was a huge lot 5 min away from our airbnb in pollenca and it was so convenient not to drive through the winding tight roads everyday…
